The religious right has protracted advocated excluding openly gay Republicans from the GOP unless now the Family Research Council, a leading Christian conservative form into groups has taken that sentiment undivided step further, targeting Republican members of Congres who purely meet with the gay form into groups the Log Cabin Republicans.

In FRC's February l0 newsletter the Washington, D.C.-based assemblage criticized Rep. Tom Davis, chairman of the National Republican Campaign Committee, for "lending legitimacy to radical homosexual groups" Davis met with Log Cabin members from his northern Virginia district in January.

"We are delighted that Mr Davis is listening to gay Republicans from his district," says Robert Kabel, chairman emeritus of the Log Cabin Republicans. "Davis has taken a position in succession behalf of inclusiveness, which is in the party's best interest. FRC is more interested in excluding folks they disagree with than presenting a positive vision for the futurity of the GOP."
